Don’t miss this year’s fall play, Radium Girls on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening! Set in the 1920s, the play offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science. This week starts the annual Canned Food Drive. The drive will run from Monday, November 6th, to Friday, November 17th. Leadership Retreat Delegates this is also a reminder that your attendance is required Saturday, November 18th from 8-2. We need your help boxing and counting cans, for our final district grand total! We will then need help transporting them to Kent Social Services. We need everyone to bring in at least one can so that we can beat last year's grand total of 20,000! This year Kent Social Services has expressed a need for Canned Fruit, Canned Beans, Canned Potatoes, and Ramen, but are willing to take donations of any canned food. Roosevelt we would like students to focus on bringing in Canned Fruit, Canned Sweet Potatoes, and Canned Vegetables, but please don't hesitate to bring in any non-perishable goods. Freshman, please give your cans too: Mrs. Frank, Mr. Wilson, and Ms. Hammer; Sophomores give your cans too: Mr. Hibbs, Mr. Foreman, and Mr. Picicco; Juniors your cans will go too: Mrs. Puhalla, Mrs. Boykin, and Mr. Hunkele and last, but definitely not least, Seniors your cans will go to: Mrs. Harr, Mrs. Golden, Mrs. Ferrell, and Mr. Slattery. If we raise more than 12,000 cans, students will be rewarded with no homework over Thanksgiving break. Thank you!!
