Retreat Delegates -- it’s time to uncover your leadership! All leadership retreat delegates, TODAY IS THE DAY to have your forms and payment turned in. If you are bringing any medications, make sure you have a form completed for each one. All medications you plan to bring need to be in their original bottles. And mark your calendars for next week’s pre-retreat meeting for final retreat details!! Any issues? See Mrs. Jurging. Let’s get ready to ROAR!
Hey Riders! After school TODAY, Riders for Social Justice is hosting a fall treat bake sale. We will have a variety of desserts, including those that are vegan and gluten-free. Come down to the concession stand right after school to get a sweet treat!

Are you hungry after practice? Do you like burgers and hot dogs? Fall athletes are invited to join us for a cookout in the cafeteria on Monday from 5:30 - 7:00.
There will be an open bowl for any boys and girls not in a fall sport this Wednesday from 3-4:30 pm. You must have your own ride to and from Kent Lanes.
Wrestling open mats will start next Monday, October 16th from 6-8 pm. If you have any interest in wrestling or a great workout, come check it out!

Roosevelt, today marks the first day of Student Council’s first fall fest. Today during all lunches, we will be having a “Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin” contest! The winner will be announced at the end of the day and the winner will win the pumpkin! Make sure to visit the concession stand to put your vote in.

ou know what time it is? 5K time! That’s right, the Class of 2024 is fundraising for the senior trip and needs your help! October 22n, we are hosting a Halloween Costume 5K and Fun Run. Register online with flyers or during your lunch.
Do you like burritos & tacos? Do you want to support Rough Rider athletics? You can do both by participating in the Dine to Donate fundraiser for the Roosevelt Cross Country Team on Monday, October 2nd at the Kent Chipotle. Come to the restaurant between 5 and 9 PM and mention that you are there for the Cross Country Fundraiser. The flyer can be found on the Roosevelt website.

Today’s monthly PBIS prize winners for September! Every month 8 students 2 per grade and 2 staff members will be chosen for showcasing their RIDE with pride expectations. Please come down before the end of the day to the activities and athletic office to pick your prize. And the month of September winners are - 9th grade David Grabbe and Matthew Joltin; 10th grade Rocco Abercrombie and Liza Koretska; 11th grade Jayden Dennison and Saidxa Rodriguez Lopez; 12th grade Jack Smith and Fadia Naqash. Our dedicated teachers Mrs. Aronhalt and Ms. Swango. Congratulations!

The Rough Rider Cross Country team made the trek to southern Portage County on Wednesday afternoon to defeat Streetsboro in a Tri Meet with Streetsboro and Field. Both the boys and girls were victorious against Streetsboro on a fast and flat course. The boys raced extremely hard to beat out Streetsboro with a score of 25 to 30 with 9 of our runners running their all time best. Our girls edged out Streetsboro by placing our top four runners ahead of most of their team finishing with a score of 20 to 35. The Rough Riders will be heading to the hills of the Cuyahoga Valley to race in the team favorite, Woodridge CVNP Invitational. Good luck team!
Pre-sale tickets for tonight’s game are on sale in the Athletics and Activities Office. Purchase your tickets early and avoid waiting in line! $4 for students and $8 for adults.
