We would like to remind all parents and guardians to please keep your child(ren) home if they are not feeling well or are showing any signs of illness which include, runny/stuffy nose; sneezing; coughing; fever; nausea/vomiting/diarrhea; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; headache; sore throat; chills and body aches; new loss of taste or smell. If students come to school with any of these symptoms, they will be sent home immediately.
In order to return to the classroom, the student must have a doctor's note or a negative COVID test. Documentation must be provided for the negative COVID test.
Come and enjoy a hotdog outside on the playground and get to know your school community on Friday, September 3, from 5:00-6:30. WSA is hosting its annual Back-to-School Family Cookout at Walls School. Bring the family down to enjoy a free hotdog, chips, and water bottle. Although there is no charge, donations are happily accepted. We will have our picture backdrop from supply night up and a handful of raffle items on hand. Afterwards, head to the away game of our Rough Riders football team taking on its rival, the Ravenna Ravens!

This message contains specific information about dismissal from school.
*Walkers and car riders are dismissed out of our two recess doors. If your child is a WALKER and you want to meet him/her to walk home, you MUST meet on the playground. Students who walk home down Doramor (front of school) may exit the front doors, but there will be NO PARENT PICKUP ON THE FRONT SIDEWALK. The bus riders exit the front of the building to board one of 8 busses coming to Walls, and we need this path clear for a safe dismissal.
We apologize for the confusion during our dismissal yesterday and ask for your patience as we work together with the staff of Walls, our student safety patrol, and our transportation department to get your child home safely! Thank you for sharing your children with us at Walls Elementary School.
Please remember to send your child to school with a mask on and his/her own water bottle! We're excited to see the students!

The first day of school for grades 1-5 is Wednesday, August 25th. Kindergarten Orientation is Friday, August 27th and the Kindergarten first day of school is Monday, August 30th. See you soon!
