We are so excited to meet all of our new families!
The following is some basic information about the upcoming school year. As always, feel free to call the office at 330-676-8300 with any questions.
This year we will be having a Kindergarten Kick-off. The kick-off will be on August 14 and 15 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and is mandatory. It will allow our teachers to get to know the children in a fun and creative environment in addition to helping students start adjusting to more structured time in the classroom when school begins. We ask that you not bring any siblings.
Dates to Remember
August 14-15: Kick-off from 9-11:30 (breakfast will be provided). Parents will drop off students and do not need to stay.
August 16: Class Lists Posted
Class lists will be posted on the front doors of the school after 3:00 pm so you can find your child's teacher.
August 19: Supply Night
The building will be open from 5:00-6:00 pm, and teachers will be in their classrooms. You may stop by to see the room, meet the teacher and bring any supplies.

August 21 and 22: Kindergarten Readiness Assessments
You only need to come to Walls during your scheduled time. The assessment will take approximately 40 minutes, and you may wait for your student in our waiting area.

August 23: Kindergarten Orientation
Students with the last name of A-M will come from 9:00 to 10:30 and students with the last name N-Z will come from 12:00 to 1:30. There will be a program for both students and parents. We ask that you not bring any siblings, if possible.
August 26: First Day of School!
The school opens at 8:20 for students eating breakfast and at 8:30 for all other students. School begins at 8:40, and students arriving after that time are tardy and must report to the office. The dismissal bell rings at 3:15. The teachers will go over arrival and dismissal during orientation.
If you live in the Kent City School District, and your student will be at least five (5) years old, on or before August 1, 2024, click here to enroll your student.
