Hey Riders! Do you want to make a difference in your community and school? Then join Riders for Social Justice for their first meeting of the year tomorrow, Wednesday, the 15th in the back of the library!
The Roosevelt Environmental Club is BACK! Environmental Club is open to all RHS students who have an interest in our local environment and what we can do to improve it. Projects this year will include improving the courtyard and preparing for the annual Envirothon Competition. We meet on Thursdays after school in Room 213. Please see Mr. Carman or send him an email if you have any questions.
Please join the Multicultural Rough Riders for our first meeting on September 16th in room 203. We will be discussing ideas for the upcoming year and celebrating National Hispanic Heritage month. Hope to see you there!
Congratulations to the Girls Golf Team who shot a season low 318 to finish 2nd at the Suburban League Tournament on Saturday. Maren Seaholts shot a 73, Morgan Bauza 79 and Sydnie and Ashley Leavery both shot 83. The team is back in action tonight vs Kenston and Lake Catholic.

Homecoming is right around the corner! Voting for Homecoming Court starts this Wednesday during your lunch period at the concession stand. Voting is only Wednesday and Thursday, so make sure to vote as soon as the polls open!
Ticketing of students cars will begin this Wednesday, September 15th!!!
If you paid for a parking pass online and have not picked up your permit, please stop by Mrs. D'Sidocky's office to pick it up during your lunch. Her office is in the back of the NEW Athletics and Activities office.
Rough Rider Football Fans, ALL football tickets, adult and student, for the 7:00 p.m. game AT Barberton on Friday, September 10th must be purchased online at barbertonmagics.org/event-tickets There will be NO tickets sold at TRHS or at the gate on Friday!
The Cross Country team traveled to Revere last night to take on the Minutemen. Top finishers for the ladies included: Emma Arthur, Marissa Koach, and Jeanie Barzellato. The top finishers for the men included: Jack Starzyk, Ezra Turner, and Gideon Kaine. Outstanding job!
Auditions for the Fall One Act Festival will be this coming Tuesday September 14th. Audition materials are posted outside of the scene shop and on the Drama Guild Google classroom. Contact Stephanie Auton if you have any questions
The Lady Rider Golf Team improved their record to 6 and 0 with a 166-184 victory over Stow at Fox Den Golf Course. Sydnie Leavery shot 38, Maren Seaholts 41, Morgan Bauza 43, Ashley Leavery 44 and Anna Picicco 50. Great job girls and good luck at the League Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The start of football is upon us! This Friday, Sept. 10th wear your jerseys and sports attire to support your favorite college, NFL or Roosevelt football team!
Hey Ladies! This is a reminder that signups for the Powder Puff Girls Football Tournament are due by this Friday, Sept. 10. Forms and waivers are available in the Activities Office. The game is Sunday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m. Be there!
This week is National Suicide Prevention Week. Did you know that one person commits suicide about every 45 seconds? That’s two people in the time it takes to brush your teeth. There will be a table set up in the cafeteria at lunch starting on Wednesday to help raise awareness to this critical issue that more people succumb to every day. Together, we all can help create a more positive culture here at Roosevelt and help each other get through these tough times together.
Congratulations to the Cross Country teams as they competed in the Ashley White Memorial Invitational at Marlington High School this past weekend. The Women finished 7th in the Division 1 race with top runners including: Emma Arthur, Marissa Koach, Evie Caldwell, Jeanie Barzellato, and Nina Loofboro. The Men finished 4th in the Division 1 race with top runners including: Ezra Turner, Jack Starzyk, Gideon Kaine, Jake Soyars, and Luke Jenkins. 95% of the team improved their times from last week. Great Job runners?

Any senior who would like to place an order for the Senior Class Group Picture may still do so by picking up an order form in the Activities Office and returning it to Mrs. DeLeone with your payment. For more information, please stop by the Activities Office and see Mrs. DeLeone or Mrs. Jurging.
The Rough Rider Football team travels to Ravenna Friday, Sept. 3 for a 7 PM varsity game. The Roosevelt Athletic Department will sell STUDENT ONLY presale tickets in the athletic office from 8 AM to 3 PM on Friday. The student presale tickets at RHS will cost $4.00. Other than the student tickets just mentioned, ALL tickets to Friday's game must be purchased electronically. Ravenna will not sell tickets at the gate the night of the game. You may purchase your electronic tickets by going to https://ravennaathletics.us/events-tickets . Adult tickets will cost $7.00 and student tickets are $5.00. Go Riders!!!
