Congratulations to Lea Parham who placed at the Glenoak Invitational this weekend. Lea took 7th in the 100 hurdles, 5th in the 300 hurdles, and 4th in the high jump.
Congratulations to the Women's Track & Field program for defeating Revere last evening 81-56. Scorers included: Madie Baron, Emma Arthur, Alea Haines, Yakia Lee-Johnson, Keterah Buchanan, Lea Parham, Francesca Ferrara, Megan Renkes, Jurnee Smith, Olivia Sams, Neaveah Hersman, Jeanie Barzalatto, Marissa Koach, Ella Hassler, Makayla Kerr, and Gianna Ferrara. The Men battled the Minutemen to a tough loss 61-76. Scorers included: Tahj Banks, Amari Mercury, Quinten Upshaw, Jacob Peeps, Lucus Fankhauser, Jerimiah Brumfield, Danny Hido, Micah Sheller, Ty Wright, Meier Gillespie, Jack Starzyk, Amir Spratt, AJ Springer, and Ezra Turner. Congratulations to Maddie Baron and Katherine Logue for winning the CoolTech Challenge Competition for the second year in a row! This dynamic duo of sophomores built an e-commerce website called "Sloth Shop" to sell environmentally friendly and sustainable goods. For winning first place, they get to split a cash prize of $1,500 from the Greater Cleveland Partnership. If you're interested in competing in the CoolTech Challenge next year, talk to your counselor about signing up for AP Computer Science Principles. Congrats again, Mad Kat!

The Kent Browns Backers is offering a new $1,000 scholarship for seniors who will be participating in college athletics. The deadline for this scholarship is April 18th. Please stop in the Counseling Office to pick up this application.

Apply to become a Freshman Connections Mentor, so you can teach the incoming freshmen all about high school life and the Roosevelt Way. You can make a difference! This announcement is for all students scheduled to take a state test after break. Would you like a free lunch from a DoorDash restaurant of your choice? If you remember to bring your chromebook to testing, fully charged, again FULLY CHARGED, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $15 DoorDash gift card. We will be giving out three gift cards per week on the first three Fridays in April. Each time you take a test with your chromebook fully charged, your name will be entered into the drawing. You may win more than once. We will announce the lucky winners on those Friday mornings.
