that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s
every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness,
has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable
family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough,
Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez
Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his
beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful
night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The Kent City Schools Special Olympics' Swim team thanks the KRHS swim team and the Expedition Academy for coaching us at the swim clinic. The special olympics swim team won 20 gold medals at the state games this past weekend. We especially would like to congratulate Michael Smolk and Drew Camara for each winning three gold medals and Tommy Richards for medaling in his first state competition. What an outstanding weekend!
Congratulations to Rough Rider wrestlers who placed at the OHSAA Wrestling Sectionals -- Sophomore Gavin Edwards placed 2nd and Noah Dunlap placed 5th. Both wrestlers will advance next week to the OHSAA District Tournament.
Congrats to our TRHS Academic Challenge Team as they went 7-0 this weekend in Copley to win 1st Place and advance to Regionals! Next up is this Friday in a Portage County showdown for local Quiz Bowl teams.
Juniors!!! Here is your chance to Preview KSU. We will be visiting Preview KSU on March 22, 2024. During our visit, you will be able to learn more about what KSU has to offer. Lunch and a Q&A session with former TRHS students will be provided. The link to sign up is posted in your Google Classroom. Only students who sign up with KSU can go! Juniors only! Spots are limited. The deadline to sign up is 3/8/24.
Juniors, it’s time to let your leadership ROAR! If you want to become a part of the 2024 Leadership Retreat Planning Committee, stop in the Activities Office for information and join the LRPC 2024 Google classroom! You can also see the media wall in the cafeteria or Student Activities Instagram for details. Anyone interested should plan to attend the informational meeting on Wednesday, March 6, in room 133 and complete the Leadership Reflection, which is posted in the Google classroom, by March 13, 2024.

Hi Rough Riders! Please join Kent Roosevelt DECA at the Lakehouse on Saturday, February 24th for the annual Don Beckett Memorial Polar Plunge event. See Ms. Marchmon-Boykin in Room 161 or Mrs. Puhalla in Room 127 to get registered. You will need a driver’s license or know the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Feel the LOVE for Chipotle! On Valentine’s Day, that’s THIS Wednesday, plan a rendezvous with your friends or significant other at the Kent Chipotle between 4-8 pm for a little dinner or snack. Every meal ordered during that time will benefit the Leadership Retreat. So share YOUR love for each other at Chipotle! Don’t forget! Today after school, come to the old concession stand to buy a cookie or a cookie kit. We will be selling them till February 14th. Cookies are 50 cents and a cookie kit is $2.00.
