Student Guest Forms for Homecoming are now available in the Activities Office. A student is permitted ONE GUEST or DATE (also known as your +1) for the dance. If that guest/date is NOT a Roosevelt or CTE student, then you must complete the form prior to purchasing tickets. The form should not be used to invite additional friends from another school or graduates if you are already going to the dance with a Roosevelt student as a date (your +1). If the student is not a Roosevelt or CTE student, you must purchase the ticket for yourself and your student guest at the same time, as a pair of tickets. Likewise you must arrive to the dance together for check in.

Presale tickets for tonight’s football game are on sale in the Athletics and Activities Office (Room 106) during lunches today and after school until 2:45. Students and senior citizens are $5 and adults are $10. Buy your tickets before the game and avoid waiting in line!
Lights, camera, action! That’s right, Rough Riders, on Tuesday, September 2, that’s the day after Labor Day, YOU will be in front of the camera for your school picture. You should have received a picture order form in your 1st period or homeroom class. If you plan to order pictures, bring your order form with you on Tuesday OR you can order online. More details are on the TRHS website.
The Rough Rider yearbook staff is looking for more creative students to help out with this year’s yearbook! Students do NOT have to be enrolled in the class to be on staff. If you are a photographer, enjoy graphic design, or want to improve your interviewing and communication skills, then stop by the media room, room 214, after school on Tuesday, September 2 for a quick meeting covering how you can be a part of Roosevelt history.

The Rough Rider Cross Country teams had their season opener at the GlenOak Invitational last Saturday. In a competitive field of 27 teams, our runners had some good performances. Senior Carter Stevenson led the boys Varsity team, placing 21st out of 204 runners and running his best time on the course. Also scoring for the team were Harri Wunderle, Jacob Dunfee, Dean Foster, and Colt Jurovcik. The JV Boys were led by Freshman Chris Plough who ran a bold race and finished 17th overall. The other points were scored by Brennan Knowles, Grayson Kruger, Dominic Joseph, and Eli Karpinecz. Senior Anya Young ran a smart race and led the JV girls team which included Cate Simms and Nikayla Williams. Nice work, Rough Riders!
