Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team on their performance at Field High School on Wednesday! The squad placed second overall, losing the lead spot to Rootstown but besting Field and Streetsboro. Senior Carter Stevenson led the race from the gun and held off his closest competitor by over 30 seconds. Also scoring for Kent were Chris Plough, Dan Simon, Dean Foster, and Colt Jurovcik. Personal best times were set for Ben Mills, Luke Toepfer, Dan Simon, and Ethan Stager. Way to go Riders!
Hey Students, Due to the cancellation of the opposing team, you are invited to participate in a special flag football event this Sunday at 2:00 featuring our Kent Special Olympics flag football team! Let’s talk about Parking Permits – Mrs. D’Sidocky will be distributing parking passes from the concession stand in the cafeteria this week during lunches. If you are driving and parking on campus, you must have a parking permit. If you are a Roosevelt student your parent or guardian has to log on to Final forms and answer YES that you will be driving to school and complete the required information. After they answer yes, you will also have to login to your student account on final forms and sign the form. Parking fees can be paid to Mrs. D'Sidocky or online on PaySchools. There are designated spots for handicap, visitors, cosmetology patrons and silent auction. DO NOT park in those spots without a proper permit or you will be ticketed. When the front lot becomes full, please remember to use the stadium lot. If you are a CTE student from another school in the compact, please see the CTE office in room 171 and pick up the form for a parking permit, you will also return that same form to Mrs. Weiss in the CTE office. You will have to have a Kent permit to avoid being ticketed. Drive Safe Rough Riders!
