CCP Advisors from KSU will be returning on November 15 and November 30. All CCP students are encouraged to sign up for an advising appointment. If you are a COMPACT student you are also encouraged to sign up for an appointment. The CCP office has few appointments available so take advantage. The sign up form is in the counseling office.

This week starts the annual Canned Food Drive. The drive will run from Monday, November 6th, to Friday, November 17th. Leadership Retreat Delegates this is also a reminder that your attendance is required Saturday, November 18th from 8-2. We need your help boxing and counting cans, for our final district grand total! We will then need help transporting them to Kent Social Services. We need everyone to bring in at least one can so that we can beat last year's grand total of 20,000! This year Kent Social Services has expressed a need for Canned Fruit, Canned Beans, Canned Potatoes, and Ramen, but are willing to take donations of any canned food. Roosevelt we would like students to focus on bringing in Canned Fruit, Canned Sweet Potatoes, and Canned Vegetables, but please don't hesitate to bring in any non-perishable goods. Freshman, please give your cans too: Mrs. Frank, Mr. Wilson, and Ms. Hammer; Sophomores give your cans too: Mr. Hibbs, Mr. Foreman, and Mr. Picicco; Juniors your cans will go too: Mrs. Puhalla, Mrs. Boykin, and Mr. Hunkele and last, but definitely not least, Seniors your cans will go to: Mrs. Harr, Mrs. Golden, Mrs. Ferrell, and Mr. Slattery. If we raise more than 12,000 cans, students will be rewarded with no homework over Thanksgiving break. Thank you!!

Tomorrow, directly after school is the rehearsal for the NHS induction ceremony. All current members and soon-to-be inducted members are required to attend and should meet in the band room. See you there!

Kent Theodore Roosevelt HS Career-Technical Education programs will not be in session on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 (Election Day). The Kent TRHS CTE staff will be working on developing curriculum maps & unit plans, analyzing common assessment data, and developing high-quality student data sources. Kent students should attend their non-CTE schedule. Students must have a parent/guardian call them off for program time only or students will need to utilize the Kent TRHS library as a study hall area. Six District Educational Compact students will be listed as not absent. Please note that Cuyahoga Falls, Stow-Munroe Falls, and Woodridge Schools are not in session.
Attention all girls interested in playing basketball this year - it's the best time of the year! - Tryouts begin THIS Friday the 27th from 3:00-5:00. You MUST have a physical on file and have completed Final Forms.
