Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Our Senior ladies got the dub last night at Powder Puff football with the sophomores trailing close behind. The juniors took 3rd place and the freshman were last. Thank you to all those who helped make this another successful event.

The Leadership Retreat Chipotle’s Fundraiser for today has been CANCELLED due to construction delays at the new Kent Chipotle. The fundraiser will be rescheduled sometime next month when their new location is opened. Stay tuned!

The Environmental Club will meet after school in room 208. We will be potting plants and prepping for the HOCO fair!

Hey Riders! Voting for homecoming court is available at the concession stand during all lunch periods. You can also cast your votes by scanning the QR code that is posted around the school. Presale tickets for tonight’s football game against Copley will be available in the Athletics Office until 3:00 pm. Look for Mrs. Fisher in the red Game Day T-shirt to buy yours! Student tickets are $4.00 presale. They will be $7.00 at the gate.

Effective immediately students should enter the building from either the cafeteria doors or auditorium atrium doors. All other doors will be locked at all times every day. Everyone is reminded not to let people in any other door during the school day. This is to ensure the safety of the Roosevelt Learning Community.

Kent Schools Special Olympic Team Fitness and Flag Football Team begins its fall season this Tuesday at 5:30 at the weight room. The team will meet Tuesday and Thursday. Athletes with disabilities and volunteers to help are welcomed to attend. We are hoping to have enough volunteers to form a united team of Special Olympic athletes and volunteers.

Hip Hip Hooray, it’s almost Constitution Day!! On September 17, 1787, 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution making it 235 years young. Happy Birthday US Constitution!!

Beep! Beep!! Working at the Car Wash....that's right, Rough Riders. TOMORROW, the 2022 Leadership Retreat Planning Committee will be hosting a carwash fundraiser at the AutoZone on East Main Street in Kent from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M to benefit the Leadership Retreat. All donations will be appreciated as we work to make this opportunity equally available to all students. It will be a great day to have a clean car!
