On Tuesday, August 24, all freshmen are expected to attend the Freshman Orientation Day at Theodore Roosevelt High School. Registration is from 8:30-9:00 a.m. This three hour event is packed with information and fun. Students who attend the orientation will receive a free school spirit t-shirt. Only students with this t-shirt will receive free admission to the Freshman Tailgate at the first home football game.
While the event starts at 9:00 a.m., students may begin arriving as early as 8:00 am. By arriving early, students can avoid long lines at the required hearing and vision check. The state of Ohio requires students to have a vision and hearing screen in 9th and 11th grade. Students should wear his or her eyeglasses or contact lens (if needed) for the vision screen. Our nursing staff will check their vision to determine if they can see adequately with their current eyewear prescription. Students should be picked up at 12:00 p.m.
