The Kent City Schools Ski & Snowboard Club is new for the 2024 season! Ski club is a great way to learn a new sport, develop some new friendships, and have fun during the winter months. Beginners are welcome and even encouraged! Brandywine Ski Resort offers a discounted price that includes 5 lift tickets, rental equipment, and 5 one-hour ski or snowboard lessons! This ski club is open to students from Davey, Holden, Longcoy, Walls, Stanton, and Roosevelt. It includes students from the entire Kent City School District ages 7-18 years old.
Due to factors out of our control, the ski club will NOT provide bus transportation to and from Brandywine Ski Resort due to arrival time conflict. Students and families will be responsible for organizing their own transportation.
Here are the scheduled dates and times for the Stanton Ski & Snowboard Club at Brandywine Ski Resort:
- Thursday, January 11- 4:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday, January 18 - 4:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday, January 25 - 4:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday, February 1 - 4:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday, February 8 - 4:00-8:00 pm

ADVISORS: Aaron Hido & Jeff Thompson -- Mr. Hido will communicate with families and students about ski club registration and dates, assist families and students with their rental equipment, and direct students to their correct lessons. Once students are on the slopes, the advisors may occasionally cross paths with them in the lift lines, on the hills, or in the dining area. At around 7:45 pm, they will guide students to where they need to return their rental equipment.
PARENTS: Your role as a parent will be to register your child using this link and Kent City Schools’ group code (BWKC5THUR) and transport your child to and from Brandywine Ski Resort on the scheduled dates and times. Please make sure that your child has adequate winter gear such as ski pants, water-resistant gloves, and a winter jacket for each session. Bring your own food to eat for dinner or purchase food with a credit/debit card at the Brandywine cafeteria. Parents are welcome to sit at a table in the dining area on the second floor overlooking the slopes during each session.
