Vaccine requirements for 7th graders
The state of Ohio requires all students entering the 7th grade to have the Meningococcal vaccine (also known as MCV4, Menevo or Menactra) in addition to one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis).

Vaccine requirement for 12th graders
The state of Ohio requires all students entering the 12th grade to have a second dose of meningococcal vaccine (also known as MCV4, Menevo or Menactra). If the first dose of meningococcal vaccine was administered on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.

Flu Vaccine Clinic at school
On November 04, 2024, Akron Children's School Health Immunization team will be having a Flu Vaccine Clinic for students during the school day at your child's school. Participation is voluntary. If you would like your child to receive a flu vaccine at school on November 04, please complete the attached consent form and parent letter. Completed forms can be returned to the school clinic by October 25. Flu vaccines are covered by most insurances. Please make sure your insurance covers vaccine administration at schools.
