Rotary Student of the Month – January
Rachel Mandalari, 8th Grade Navigator Team

Rachel’s teachers selected her as the Rotary Student of the Month because she always has a cheerful attitude and is kind and friendly to whomever she encounters throughout the day. Rachel is cooperative, dependable, and takes initiative as a student problem-solver. Her sense of humor is fantastic and much appreciated by her teachers.
Rachel is an excellent student and always gives 100% in her schoolwork. She was selected to attend the leadership retreat at Maplewood last year because of her strong leadership abilities. She was president of Student Council, a lead ambassador and co-chaired Bowl Against Abuse, the Stanton Supply Drive and Change Bandits. All proceeds from these initiatives went to families with financial needs.
Dance is an important part of Rachel’s life. She has danced for years at Dance Evolution and has performed ballet, tap, lyrical and hip-hop. Rachel is active with her church and will attend a leadership retreat, perform some community service and be confirmed this year. Congrats, Rachel – keep up the good work!
