Damselflies are very similar to Dragonflies. Females lay eggs in water, typically near aquatic vegetation. Females can also lay eggs in other water-filled cavities such as bromeliads. Larva (nymphs) are carnivorous and tend to feed on mosquito larva and other aquatic invertebrates. After maturation, crane flies feed on mosquitoes and other small insects. Some are even know to feed on spiders, stealing them away from their webs.
