This week in US History class we will continue to study the US Constitution by focusing on the major principles established in this important document. Students will also spend time learning about the three branches of government and how their distinct roles affect our society today.

Feb. 21-24

Welcome back after your long President's Day weekend. This week in class we will finish our discussion of the early government of the United States and have our Quest over the material. After our field trip on Thursday to the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame we will begin our mini-unit on the Constitution.

Feb. 13-17

This week in class students will study about the Bill of Rights and how it was created to solve the debate between Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Students will create short videos about what our society would look like without the Bill of Rights to discover the important role these rights still play in our society over 200 years after they were written.

Feb. 6 – 10

Delegates to the Constitutional Convention Bios

This week in US History class we will discuss the Constitutional Convention of 1787 by actively participating in the process that created the US Constitution. Students will assume the role of different delegates to the Constitutional Convention and voice the different concerns that Americans had during this process.
