We are about to enter our final week of school. We have a few more events coming up in the next few days…we hope to see you here. We are planning a big “last day at Davey” for our fifth graders. Please let us know if you have any questions about the activities in the last few days.

Hello Davey Families-
It is hard to believe that the students only have 9 days left of school. It seems just like yesterday when I met your children for the first time. We have had so much rain this spring – I hope that the rain holds out for some of our activities this week.

Hello Davey Families-
I thought all of the rain was supposed to happen in April… Looks like we will have a soggy upcoming week. Please remind your children to wear their rain attire this week. Also-as a reminder, students are officially permitted to wear shorts to school!
As the year winds down, we have multiple activities going on in the building. I will keep the webpage updated with any changes that may occur due to weather etc. The children are still working diligently here at school and we are proud of their hard work!

Hello Davey Families-
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mother’s, Aunt’s Grandma’s etc. It is a special day and we appreciate all of the love you give to your special child(ren). It is certainly a beautiful day to celebrate the special women in our lives.
I am happy to announce that we are officially finished with our Ohio Achievement Assessments. Thank you to our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders for doing their very best on the test. Thank you to the teachers and staff that helped prepare our children and thank you to the families for encouraging and supporting your children.
This past week was amazing. A special thanks to our PTO for providing amazing treats throughout the week for our staff members. The staff felt very appreciated and we are all thankful for the recognition that was given to us during Staff Appreciation Week.

Hello Davey Families!
We successfully completed our first week of the Ohio Achievement Assessment. All 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders completed the Reading portion of the OAA this past week. Fourth graders completed their Math portion and are officially done!! The 3rd and 5th graders will finish this week:
Tuesday- 5th Grade Math
Wednesday- 3rd Grade Math
Thursday- 5th Grade Science

We are also celebrating our staff members this week. Staff Appreciation Week is May 2nd-May6th. Please help me acknowledge the wonderful things our Davey staff accomplishes on a daily basis. Davey runs smoothly because of the hard work and dedication of its staff members.

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.

Hello Davey Families-
It has truly been an amazing weekend. Yesterday was a blast at the Kindergarten Fair. We had many people donate their time to make certain the event was flawless. It was fun to meet all of our incoming kindergartners. They certainly seemed very excited for next school year. Today was a beautiful day outside. I am pretty sure we ended up some where in the 80′s. I hope every one was able to get outside and enjoy the weather.
A special congratulations to all of the children that have been participating in the after-school tutoring program. We will celebrate their successes this week on their final day of tutoring!
Don’t forget to attend the Expo on Thursday. The 5th graders will be selling baked goods and we will be selling root beer floats. Come enjoy the hard work of your students!

Hello Davey Families!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break. Spring has officially arrived!
Just as a reminder – Students should not be wearing shorts to school at this time. Children are not permitted to wear shorts until the temperatures are consistently at the 70-degree range. Please remind your child to wear their coat to school as well. It is a bit too chilly to go without a coat for recess time.
Hopefully the sun is here to stay…
Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!
