Broadcasting on The Web:

Broadcasting on The Web is all about video production and how to share your creations online.  We will go over video language as well as planning, producing, and editing videos.  You will have the opportunity to use Flip Video Cameras and Cannon Vixia Camcorders.  To edit your videos, you will use the video editing software, PowerDirector 10.  Some projects include: Video Announcements, Commercials, Stop-Motion Videos, and more!

Business & Personal Law:

In this course, you will study true situations that show how business and personal law impacts not only businesses, but the lives of young people and adults as well. You will learn about a wide range of topics including: the relationship between ethics and law, the structure of the court systems, computer law, family law, and more.  You will also participate in a Mock Trial and explore your views on capital punishment.

Computer Applications:

In this course, you will gain the skills you need to complete technology related assignments in your other classes as well as in your future career.  We will explore Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2010.  In addition, Google Docs, Spreadsheets, and Presentations will be covered.

Intro to Business:

In this course, you will learn the ins and outs of how businesses work.  Some topics include: basic economics, how businesses are organized, international business, and how businesses can be socially responsible.  We will also cover how businesses are managed and lead.  Lastly, you will have the opportunity to explore careers surrounding your interests within the business field.

Tech Tools:

Want to learn more about technology?  In Tech Tools, we will discuss various types of technology including: digital cameras, scanners, cell phones and mp3 players.  Other topics include: Computer Careers, Computer Crimes, Email, Blogging and how to determine which computer to buy.

Yearbook:

As a participant in Yearbook , you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the creation and promotion of the Rough Rider Yearbook!
